Ever went to go to take a picture and your camera fires an obnoxiously bright orange beam? Yep, it’s annoying.
That’s the AF Illuminator setting. Theoretically, it’s supposed to increase autofocus performance in low light situations, but I’ve found it to have mixed results.
So, to turn it off:
- Hit the Menu button
- First Tab (camera icon)
- Page 3
- AF Illuminator to Off
And just like that, you’ve turned off the obnoxious orange beam!
